Keeping Everyone Safe at Muggymoose

We are taking safety seriously at Muggymoose. We want you to know that we welcome everyone, but we are taking the safety of our clients, our therapists and all of their families seriously at this time. You can count on us doing the following things each time you come to Muggymoose. You can also know that we as therapists will be doing the same things we are ask of our clients. We are so thankful for our clients and want to do the utmost for you all.


50% CAPACITY

We are operating at a 50% capacity. This means that you will only see one therapist and one client here at any given time. You can feel comfortable knowing that others will not be here during your session.

MORE SPACE

We are doing table sessions in our treatment rooms with a linen covering over the door but the door open, to increase air flow. We have created a special space for Thai Bodywork. This space is larger than previously and provides maximum air flow.

MASKS

We are asking that all of our clients and therapists wear three ply masks or two ply masks with a filter. The mask must fully cover the mouth and nose. If you do not have one that fits properly or is three ply, we are happy to provide you with one! We can also provide you with a filter or a metal nose piece to make your mask fit more appropriately. Wearing masks will protect the therapist and the client. Therapists wear either a N95 or a cloth two ply masks with a filter and a metal nose piece, making the mask fit closely to the nose and under the chin.


LINENS

We are using extra linens at this time and change all linens each and every time. The linens are never re-used and three layers are used to cover surfaces, rather than one. After each and every session, linens are closed tightly into a bag to be taken to our linen service.


SPACING AND CLEANING

We used to have fifteen minutes between each of our clients. Now we have 45 minutes. It takes about 20-30 minutes just for virus particles to settle. This gives us time to let the particles settle, air out the space, open windows and then diligently clean every single surface with disinfectants. By the time the next client is walking in the door, we are ready for you with a clean situation!


INTAKE AND PAYMENT

New clients are provided an intake form along with a covid consent form ahead of time. These forms are returned to Margaret and then provided to the therapist. Returning clients are asked to return COVID consent forms, and if they already have….are asked to review them once again to make sure nothing has changed.


TEMPERATURES AND SANITIZING

Therapists and clients temperatures are taken each time they enter the studio. Anyone with a temperature higher than 100.4 degrees will be asked to return at a later time. Therapists are also monitoring their temperatures and would not take clients if their temperature is higher than 100.4. Clients’ and therapists’ hands are sanitized on entering the studio.


CLOTHING AND PERSONAL HYGIENE

Therapists come in clean clothes and change into their work clothes AT the studio, assuring that they are clean. In between clients, clothes are changed so that you can rest assured your therapist is wearing a clean set of clothing each time. Therapists each have a special set of “in studio” shoes which do not go out of the studio. When giving Thai Massage, therapists wear clean socks each time. Clients are asked to come showered and in clean clothes. If clients would like to use clean THAI clothes for Thai Bodywork, we are able to provide this for you.


COVID SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

We are asking clients and therapists to please let us know if anyone at their house is feeling sick or showing signs and symptoms of Covid. If so, we ask that you reschedule at a later date. Same applies to therapists.


TRACING

We ask that if you or someone in your family tests positive for Coronavirus, you would inform the studio if you have been with us in the previous two weeks. We will also inform you if one of our therapists has the same situation. This will be information shared with anyone who has been at the studio in the past two weeks, but your identity will remain anonymous.

COVID CONSENT FORM

Each client is asked to fill out a COVID Consent Form. The same things that the clients need to sign off on, the therapists need to sign off on as well. We are asking clients and therapists to quarantine for seven days before coming back to the studio if any of the following apply:

*They have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID

*They have tested positive for COVID

*They have exhibited signs and symptoms of COVID

We hope that you appreciate our efforts in keeping everyone safe. We will be doing this all for our clients and therapists and our community and ask for each and every one of us to do our part to keep things safe. It is a collective effort and what each of us do will affect absolutely everyone that comes into our studio. It takes all of us as a larger collective to move through this.
